If you happened to pass by Kearny’s Lincoln School on May 27, it was impossible not to notice the loud music and smiling faces. Although it seemed to be all in good fun, it was benefiting a very serious cause.
For 32 years, with the coordination of Tom Fraser, a guidance counselor, and help from all faculty at Lincoln School, the Jump Rope for Heart has been raising money to support the American Heart Association’s battle against heart disease.
Of course all of this would not be accomplished without the help from some very important people. Over 500 students from Lincoln School took part in the event; raising money and jumping rope for hours proving that an active heart is a healthy one.
