The Observer’s 4th annual Kentucky Care Project is underway!
Last Friday, the huge trailer that will eventually be filled with your donations arrived in Kearny, courtesy of Gino Montrone, who launched the project on his own more than 20 years ago. It sits now in our parking lot, where yesterday volunteers began loading it with the first contributed goods.
What sort of things do we need? You name it. Clothing, shoes, nonperishable food, household goods (like pots and pans and dishes or paper/plastic plates), linens and blankets, books, toys, toothpaste and toothbrushes and
other personal hygiene items, and even little luxuries like make-up.
A full list of suggested items can be found on p. 29 of today’s Observer.
