I was thankful to be sitting at my desk Monday with cable and a phone system, after
many calls back and forth to the area’s news sources trying to learn what was happening in our region.
Given the dire predictions about the storm, I wasn’t sure what we were going to be up against.
The news coverage that we received was amazing and, thankfully, most folks listened and stayed off the streets.
We have to commend those workers who were diligently working to get us up and running and we extend a big thank you to our firefighters, police officers and emergency workers who were out protecting the public.
Our prayers go out to those who were injured and to families that lost loved ones.
