Ronald T. Chadwick
Ronald T. Chadwick, age 66, of Brick, died on Sunday, Sept. 18, at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville.
Mr. Chadwick was born in Newark, was raised and resided in Harrison, before moving to Brick 13 years ago. He was a tire serviceman for Goodyear in Paterson for 30 years before retiring in 1999.
He was predeceased by his beloved son, Christopher J. Chadwick, in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Veronica (Anzalone) Chadwick; his daughter, Kimberley A. Graves, and her husband, George Jr. of Bluffton, S.C.; three brothers, James, William and his wife Mary and Robert Chadwick all of Harrison; four grandchildren, Samantha, George III, James Christopher and Faith Veronica; his beloved dog, Bingo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by the Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick. A funeral Mass was held at St. Dominic’s Church in Brick. Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
Albert R. Clark III
Mr. Albert R. Clark III “Rick,” 56, passed away suddenly on Sept. 6 at his home in Kearny.

Al was born in Kearny and was a lifelong resident.
He was employed as a machinist for Wallace and Tiernan. After, he was a computer security analyst for Lucent Technologies. Most recently, he formed his own company named ALCO and specialized in web design and computer security.
“Rick” was a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington as well as a devoted coach of youth sports for the town of Kearny. He was also a member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association.
Mr. Clark is survived by his beloved son Albert R. Clark IV, his sister Beryl Van Blarcom (John) and his brother Joel Clark (Deborah). He also leaves three nieces and one nephew and several grandnieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his parents Albert R. Jr. and Gladys K. (Kase) and his brother Bruce F. Clark.
Veronica “Vera” Dunn
Veronica “Vera” Dunn, 90, died on Sept. 3 at the Grace Hospice in Kingwood, Texas.
Born on July 8, 1921, in Kearny, Vera lived in North Arlington for 45 years before moving to Kingwood in 2005.
She worked as an executive secretary for Atlas Supply in both Newark and Springfield for 34 years before retiring in 1982. Vera was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Anna (nee Hanlon) and Joseph Dunn; the loving sister of the late Joseph, Edward and Mary Dunn, Ann Dooley, and Alyce Hennessy; dear sister-in-law of the late John Hennessy and Thomas Dooley, and the cherished aunt of Patricia Timpanaro, Kathleen Ferris, Ann Baillie, Edward, Robert and Michael Hennessy, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road. A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Vera’s sweet gentle presence will be missed by all who knew her. The family extends its deepest appreciation to the staff of the Terrace and the Grace Hospice, both in Kingwood, Texas, for their loving care.
Jean A. Grosvenor
Jean A. Grosvenor, 67, died at Belgrove Post Acute Care Center, Kearny, on Sept. 20.
Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she lived in the Bronx before moving to Kearny in 1971.
She is predeceased by her parents Oscar Kruger and Mary Murphy. She is survived by her husband Edward T. Grosvenor, her children Thomas K. Grosvenor and Catherine Lynch, and also survived by her sister Rita Kane and her two grandchildren Matt and Ellie.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A service was held at the funeral home, followed by private cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Barnabas Hospice.
Saverio Macrina
Saverio Macrina, 61, died on Sept. 20 at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. Born in Gasperina, Italy, he immigrated to Kearny in 1970.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was held at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny. Entombment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Project Genesis Foundation.
Thomas Scafuri
Mr. Thomas Scafuri, 63, passed away on Sept. 13 in the Morris Hills Care Center, Morristown.
Thomas was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Kearny.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 until 1974.
Mr. Scafuri was a driver for Schuyler Cab Company in Kearny for many years, retiring two years ago.
He is survived by his siblings Susan Scafuri, Sharyn Brohm, Michael Scafuri, Kathleen Kwiatkowski and Janet Lesser.

Eugeniusz (aka) Eugene Zajkowski
Eugeniusz (aka) Eugene Zajkowski, 92, died on Sept. 20 at Franklin Nursing Home in Flushing, N.Y.
Born in Las Toczylowo, Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1952. He was a machinist for Stanley Plastics in Harrison. He was a member of the Polish Army Veterans Association of America and the American Legion. He was a founding member for the National Law Enforcement Museum and Man of the Year for the Henrietta Benstead Senior Citizen Center. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Seniors and the West Hudson Council for the Handicapped.
He was predeceased by his first wife Janina Zajkowski and his second wife Dolores Zajkowski and siblings Edward, Czeslawa, Marianna, and Leokadia. He is survived by his daughters Eugenia Wadolowska and Wanda Krynicka, his two grandchildren in the U.S., Iwona (Jaroslaw) and Krzysztof, and four grandchildren in Poland; also survived by two great-grandchildren in the U.S., Natalie and Patrick, and eight great-grandchildren in Poland.

Richard M. Clancy
Richard M. Clancy “Clancy” died on Sept. 22 at home. He was 54.
Born in Newark, he lived most of his life in Kearny. Clancy was a bartender at R Gang and also was an alarm inspector for ADT.
Son of the late Richard and Mary (McNamara) Clancy, he is survived by his sister and brother and their spouses Maureen and Irving Solero and Michael and Kathleen Clancy. He was the uncle of Colin and Shannon. He was predeceased by his brother John.

Benjamin Colaneri
Benjamin Colaneri, 89, of Kearny, formerly of Harrison and East Newark, died on Sept. 22.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny. Entombment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Colaneri was the founder and owner of Varsity Cleaners, Harrison, for 33 years retiring in 1978. After his retirement, he was a real estate agent with Arlington Realty, Kearny.
He was a technician fifth grade in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Optimist Club, Knights of Columbus and the VFW, all of Harrison.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian De Troia Colaneri, father of Benjamin, Robert (Susan) and Michael Colaneri; brother of Felix Colaneri and Ann De Brango; grandfather of David and Daniel Colaneri and Kristin (Scott) Colaneri-Campbell.
John “Jack” Stuart
John “Jack” Stuart died Sept. 23 in Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. He was 75.
Born in Port Glasgow, Scotland, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1962. He lived in Kearny before moving to Clifton 25 years ago.
Jack served in the British Merchant Marines, was an avid soccer fan, always enjoying his favorite Glasgow Celtics. He was a member of the Irish American and the Celtic supporters, having served as their treasurer, both in Kearny. He attended Mass for many years at the Holy Face Monastery.
Son of the late Donald and Elizabeth, he is survived by his loving companion and her daughter Ann and Arlene Murin. He was the loving Poppy to Tracey, Kailey, Kelsy and Kara. Jack is also the brother of Donald and James Stuart, Ann Bradley, Myra Morrison and the late George and Derick Stuart and Betty Ryan.

Margaret L. Pisciotta
Margaret L. Pisciotta (Elliot), 70, passed away on Friday, Sept, 23, at her home in Kearny.

Margaret was born in Union and was a lifelong Kearny resident.
She is survived by her sons Michael T. and Robert K.; grandchildren Michael, Lauren and Bobby Margaret was predeceased by her husband Michael V. in 2004.
