Rosemary Dabov
Rosemary Dabov (Smith) 70, died on Sept. 27 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway.
Arrangements were by the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
Rosemary was born in Jersey City and lived in Kearny before moving to Harrison many years ago.
She is survived by her children Catherine Third, Susanna Hickman (Alan), Michael Dabov and grandchildren Jennifer and Shannon Hickman. She was predeceased by her husband Edward.

Vincent Fale, Jr.
Vincent Fale, Jr. died on Sept. 27 at home. He was 69.

Vincent served in the army from 1961 through 1964, He was a member of The VFW Post 1302 in Kearny. The Nutley American Legion Post 70, associate member of the Order of Fraternal Police Lodge 46 and the Army Historical Foundation. He was a founding sponsor of The National Museum of The United States Army. He was a member of Teamsters Local 560 and was a truck driver for Joe Supor Trucking, Navajo and then Pennsylvania Truck Lines.
Vincent is the son of Anna (nee Rivera) and the late Vincent Fale, Sr. Husband of Dawn (nee Kerekes) and brother of Linda Cheesman. He was the beloved nephew of Sam and Connie Francello. Vinnie loved his pals Koko and Roscoe.

Michael V. Fiore
Michael V. Fiore died on Sept. 25 in Select Speciality Hospital. He was 88. Born in Newark, he lived many years in North Arlington. A
rrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was held in Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, followed by entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum.
Mike served in the Marine Corp. during World War II and was a retired crane operator and mechanic from Otis Elevator. He was a member of the Queen of Peace choir and the North Arlington Elks.
He is survived by his wife Jean (nee Purpura), his children Rosalie Pratt and Thomas and Michael Fiore; his sisters Ann, Frances and Dorothy and his grandchildren Christina and Anthony.

Evelyn Serratelli-Hayes
Evelyn Serratelli-Hayes (nee Marino) died on Sept. 24 at home. She was 96.Born in Elizabeth, she lived most of her life in Kearny.

Evelyn was a bookkeeper at Papolla Barrel in Newark for 30 years before retiring.
Wife of the late Marvin Hayes and mother of the late Caroline Kearney and Daniel Serratelli. She is survived by her son-in-law and daughterin- law Gerald Kearney and Rosie Serratelli; her grandchildren Jill and Mike Laubauskas, along with five more grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her pal Kirby.

Dennis Pooler
Dennis Pooler died on Sept. 28. He was 56. Born in Philadelphia, he has lived in Kearny for the past 28 years.
Visiting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Kearny, followed by a private cremation. Dennis was a dispatcher and vault manager for BASF in Union. He was a very sociable man who had a strong passion for cooking, He was a member of the LCCC in Kearny.
Husband of Marceline (nee Sullivan), he is the son of Helen (nee Staples) and the late Thomas Pooler. He is also survived by his son and his wife Justin and Lisa- Marie Pooler and his daughter Courtney Pooler, his brothers Thomas and Joseph and his grandchildren Ian and Jude.

June M. Ryan
June M. Ryan (nee Davie), died on Sept. 25 in Columbus Hospital. She was 59. Born in Kearny, she moved to North Arlington 29 years ago.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
June is the daughter of the late Matthew and Martha Davie and is survived by her devoted husband Michael and mother-in-law Xania Ryan, her beloved children Michael, Jillian and Matthew Ryan and her siblings Janet, John and Jim Davie. Her beloved daughter Jessica sadly died only two years ago. June is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews and 19 great-nieces and nephews.

Edward Shinski
Edward Shinski, “Pops,” 77, of Lancaster, Pa., entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Born and raised in Harrison, Edward lived in Carteret, before moving to Lancaster 15 years ago. Ed was a retired Hi – Lo operator for Avenel’s Pathmark, for 28 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife Esther (nee Daskam); loving children, Eddie, Mark, Richie, Terri and Janet; step-children Robin Kessler, Joanna Masci, and Ken Shinski; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, dear siblings Mary Molesky and Frank “Butch” Shinski, his first wife Jean (nee Dobak) and many nieces and nephews.
