The Mike Luipersback Trio will perform a free musical concert at the library on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1:30 p.m. The group will play jazz, Broadway, American pop, and music of the 1950s and ’60s.
A free seminar on the “ABC’s of Child Support” will be held at the library on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., hosted by Meghan K. Gulczynski, Esq., an experienced trial attorney with a background in family law and landlord-tenant law.
The library is having a Children’s Halloween Costume Swap on Saturday, Oct. 13. Bring your clean, gently used children’s Halloween costumes to the Children’s Library by Oct. 13. For each costume you donate, you’ll receive a Swap Ticket, which must be brought back to the library on Oct. 13 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for you to choose a costume for each ticket. Don’t have any costumes to donate, but still want to participate? Come during the last hour of the Swap, from 1 to 2 p.m., and select a costume for a requested donation of $3. Have an attic full of good condition costumes that your grown children no longer need? Donate them to the Swap and help increase the selection for participating children. The library requests that all participants take only one costume per child, as any leftover costumes will be donated to Goodwill. Franklin will be portrayed by Jack Sherry, a teacher of American History at Paramus Catholic High School in Paramus. Sherry has been actively involved with living history re-enacting since 1980, portraying the common Loyalist soldier who fought during the American Revolution, 1775-1783.
