Agnes Bragger

Agnes Bragger (nee Hughes) of North Arlington died on Jan. 28 in Clara Maass Hospital. She was 86.

Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. A funeral service was held in the funeral home, followed by private cremation.

Mrs. Bragger served in The R.E.N.S. (The Womans British Navy) and was an office clerk at Marsh Jewelers in Newark. Agnes is the wife of the late Arthur G. Bragger, sister of Josephine Siemer and the late Margaret Mason. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Philip J. Dohn III

Philip J. Dohn III, 77, of Harrison, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

The funeral was conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave., Harrison. A funeral Mass was held at Holy Cross Church, Harrison. Born in Jersey City, he lived most of his life in Harrison, for 50 years.

Philip was a police lieutenant for the Harrison Police Department for 27 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Grace Council #402, he was also a member of the Fourth Degree Monsignor Doane Assembly #0643, both of Harrison, and the “600” Club for retired PBA members. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing as he belonged to the Twin Pines Hunting Club, Branchville.

Predeceased by his parents Philip and Margaret, he is survived by his loving wife Helen Mary (nee Bevins) Dohn (they were married for 52 years), his children Philip J. Dohn, IV and his wife Maryanne, Debbie A. Dohn, Michael A. Dohn, Annemarie Jorda and her husband Michael and Matthew V. Dohn and his wife Diane. His grandchildren, Patrick, Robert, Michael, Casey, Jaqueline, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Christine, Andrew and Melissa. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by his daughter-in-law Deborah Ann Baldo-Dohn, his grandson Zachary M. Dohn and his brother Kenneth Dohn.

Beverly A. Loguidice

Beverly A. Loguidice, (nee Shaw) 57, of Kearny, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Jan. 28.

Born and raised in East Rutherford, she most recently lived in Kearny. Prior to that she lived in Belleville. Beverly worked for Becton Regional High School cafeteria in East Rutherford; prior to that she worked as a beautician for 25 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus #402, Harrison.

Predeceased by her husband Richard (2007), she is survived her loving family; her mother Doris J. Shaw, her daughter Jennifer and her fiancé Kenneth, her son Richard and his wife Nicole, grandchildren Sherry, Kelly, Kaitlyn, and Joshua. She is also survived by her sister Doris Jean Shaw, her brother John Charles Shaw and his wife Linda. She was also predeceased by her father William Thomas Shaw, Sr., her brother William Thomas Shaw Jr.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave., Harrison. A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Harrison on Saturday, Feb. 2. Harold E. McCloud 1921 – 2013

Harold E. McCloud, 91, passed away in Lac Brome, Quebec, Canada on Friday, Jan. 25.

For 61 years, Harold was the loving husband to Shirley McCloud, and father to Karen (Joe) and Donna (Jacques); grandfather to Harrison and Nigel Flynn and Caitlin, Rachel, Lindsay and Jamieson Provost. Harold was predeceased by his sister, Jean McCloud Miller (Arthur Miller, Sr.), nephews in New Jersey, Arthur Jr., Gene and Raymond Miller.

Married in 1952, he lived in Kearny, for 25 years. Harold was general manager of Two Guys in Kearny for 21 years. In 1977, they moved to Sutton, Quebec.

Harold served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army during World War II and participated in three campaign theaters: Africa, Europe and the Pacific. During the holidays, he entertained his children, nephews and grandchildren with many tales from his army days and his stories of Two Guys, and needless to say we know them all by heart.

There will be no immediate service per the family’s wishes, Harold will travel back to his beloved birthplace, Kearny, and a graveside service will be held this spring at Arlington Cemetery.

Predeceased by daughter Wanda, she is survived by grandsons Michael L. Ream McCall and Carl Ferro. Also survived by the McCall family and the Ferro family and Victor Williams. No flowers, any donations can be made to the Humane Society.

Memorial service will be held on Feb. 13 at 8:30 p.m. at Grace Methodist Church, located on 380 Kearny Ave., Kearny.

Genevieve Stutz

Genevieve Stutz (Rock), 91, died on Friday, Jan. 25, in the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.

Arrangements were by the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was offered in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Kearny, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.thiele-reid.com.

Mrs. Stutz was born in Luciusboro, Pa., and lived in Newark before moving to Kearny in 1950.

She is survived by her sons Walter S. (Rosemary) and Richard M. Stutz; siblings Sophie Kurpell, Estelle Sofko, Alice Fenton and Edward Rock and her granddaughters Elizabeth and Caroline Stutz. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter R. Stutz in 1994.
