Harold W. Branwell
Harold W. Branwell, 95, who was formerly of Kearny and who moved to Mississippi in 1978, passed away on Jan. 27.
Harold worked at Dupont in Kearny for 16 years, Finest Foods and retired from FedEx in 1983.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southhaven, Miss.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Wilbur Branwell, sister Ethel Elmer and son-in-law Cliff Charnes, he is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Helen Isabell Branwell, daughter Jackie Charnes and son Wilbert Branwell and wife Barbara of Kearny; six grandchildren: Dr. John Branwell, Larry Charnes (Jeanne), Debbie Jackson (Dennis), Dorothy Dees (Dennis), Steven Charnes (Holly) and Diane Coleman and12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Carriage Hills Baptist Church. Visitation was held on Jan. 30 with service at 2 p.m. at the Carriage Hills Baptist Church. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Dominick Candeliere
Dominick Candeliere died on Feb. 7 in Clara Maass Hospital. He was 91. Born in Italy, he lived in Harrison before moving to Kearny 52 years ago.

Mr. Candeliere served in the Italian Army during World War II and is a retired tool maker from Worthington Pump. His two great passions were his family and gardening.
Husband of Isa (nee Nastri) he is survived by his children and their spouses John Candeliere, Rose and Niel O’Donnell and Angela and Joe Porcelli. Brother of Eugenia Talarico and Frances Ruggiero, he is also survived by his grandchildren Patrick, Michael, Lisa and Christina and his great-grandchildren Quinn and Molly.
Evan B. Harris
Evan B. Harris, 78, of East Newark, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Plains, Pa., he lived most of his life in East Newark.
Evan was a truck driver and mechanic for Gilbert Express of Linden, for 10 years, retiring in 2000; prior to that he worked for Chasta Motors in Kearny for 25 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Regina “Jean” (nee Tyrell), his loving children Deborah Baggett, Catherine Lees and her husband Robert and Edward Harris and his wife Donna. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Maureen Harris, cherished grandchildren Michael Baggett and his wife Anita, John Baggett and his wife Nellie, Catherine Baggett, Pamela Vertorano and her husband Dominick, Lisa Harris, Caitlyn, Rachel, and Rhianna Lees, and Thomas and James Harris, six great-grandchildren Turner, Elias, Deacon, Julia, Sara and Vincent. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Evan was predeceased by his son Michael and son-in-law Jonathan Baggett.
The funeral was conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, Harrison on Monday. A funeral service was held in the funeral home. His interment was held in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. James Skubinsky
James Skubinsky, 97, died on Jan. 26 in the Father Hudson House in Elizabeth.

Mr. Skubinsky was born in Newark and lived in Harrison, Kearny and Seaside Heights before moving to Elizabeth six years ago.
James was employed as a custodian for the Seaside Heights School District retiring many years ago. Prior, he worked in the same capacity at R.C.A. in Harrison for 17 years.
He is survived by his nephew Richard Adamonis and his wife Julia.
James was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Bond), his son Joseph Skubinsky and his siblings Katherine Sterople, Cecelia Adamonis, Anthony, Thomas and Frank Skubinsky.

Victor E. Torrini
Victor E. Torrini,, 73, of Kearny, died peacefully on Feb. 10 at Hospital Calderon Guardia in San Jose, Costa Rica. Victor was born in Argentina and migrated to the United States in 1961, where he met Margarita and started a family.
He was a printer pressman for over 30 years for Pacquet Oneida in Kearny and later in Clifton, until his early retirement in 1997. He was a wellknown high school and Kearny Youth Soccer referee and later a KYS coach, and would be seen around town driving his Lambretta scooter to his games. His sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Margarita, sister Maria Antonia, brother Carlos, daughter Vivian and her husband John Katsock, son Victor A and his wife Debra (Serio), grandchildren Sarah, Andrew and Matthew Katsock, and granddog Rusty.
