Belleville Fire Department held its annual Fire Prevention Open House on the evening of Friday, Oct. 16, at Fire Headquarters on Franklin Ave. Township residents of all ages were welcomed to a variety of activities and demonstrations involving the use of a defibrillator, fire extinguishers, “stop, drop and roll” technique to avoid being overpowered by smoke, propane cooking safety, stove fires, vehicle extrication and a fire safety trailer. Guests were enrolled in a smoke and CO alarm distribution program and treated to refreshments.
