BELLEVILLE —
An NJ Transit Light Rail train collided with an SUV in Belleville this morning, causing one person on board the train a minor injury, according to NJ Transit’s social media.
The collision was this morning, July 28, just prior to noon, according to NJ Transit.
The Newark Light Rail had been operating with delays of up to 10 min between Branch Brook & Grove St. because of the Franklin Ave. collision.
Service returned to normal at around 12:30 p.m., NJ Transit said.
