Diana M. Hearn
Diana Hearn died at University Hospital Jan. 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
She was 58.
Born in Newark, she was raised in North Arlington and then moved to Belleville for 15 years before moving to Bayville.
Visiting was at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Mass was celebrated at Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Cremation was private.
Diana worked for Selective Transportation in Keasbey.
The beloved daughter of June Hearn and the late Edward Hearn, she also leaves behind her sister Carol Manley (Danny) and brothers Edward Hearn Jr. (Brenda) and John Hearn (EllenMary). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, their families and her dear friend Sal Barbera.

Dorothy Zukowski
Mrs. Dorothy Zukowski, (nee Kapps) 95, of Kearny, died Jan. 16, 2020.
Born in Harrison to the late Frederick and Julia (nee Miserak), she lived in Kearny most of her life. She was employed by The Star-Ledger newspaper circulation department for over 40 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Zukowski Sr.and her son Joseph Zukowski Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Donna, and her husband, Michael Kervel; as well as her grandson, Michael and his wife, Silvina Kervel. Also surviving are her great-grandsons, Noah and Nicholas.
The funeral will be from the Condon Funeral Home, 684 Kearny Ave., Kearny, on Wednesday, Jan/ 22, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Jennie M. Clifford
Mrs. Jennie M. Clifford of Kearny died Jan. 12, 2020, in Belleville.
She was 93.
Visit was in the Condon Funeral Home, Kearny. A funeral service took place in the funeral home. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Jennie was born in Harrison and had lived in Kearny for many years. She had been employed by Wilkata Packaging in Kearny for 20 years before retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband Mr. John Clifford (1995).
She is survived by her sons John and Bill Clifford. Also surviving are five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Lee Douglas Effner
Lee Douglas Effner died Jan. 15, 2020, after a 15+ year battle with Huntington’s Disease.
He was 72.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
Born in Newark and raised in North Arlington, he moved to Kearny shortly after getting married where he lived for almost 45 years before moving to Woodland Park seven years ago. Doug was a civil engineer with the New York State Department of Transportation for over 37 years.
Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Corkin) he was also the loving father of Lisa Effner and the late Mark Effner. He was predeceased by his parents Leroy and Blanche Effner and his brother Gregory Effner.
