N.A. man arrested for possessing, distributing 2,000+ child-porn images, BCPO says

A North Arlington man has been arrested on charges that he possessed and distributed images involving child pornography, the Bergen County Prosecutor, Mark Musella, announced Friday, March 13.

Jonathan R. Mancinelli, 34, a married sales associate of Stover Avenue, was taken into custody March 13 in Paramus, Musella said.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

According to Musella:

On Friday, March 13, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Mancinelli’s residence in North Arlington during the course of an Internet child-pornography investigation.

The investigation revealed Mancinelli allegedly used the Internet to view, download and possess digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit, prepubescent children, and he reportedly also shared approximately 2,350 such files online.

Mancinelli’s charges include one count of distribution of child pornography in an amount greater than 1,000 files, a first-degree crime, and possession of child pornography, a third-degree crime. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, Hackensack, pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court, also in Hackensack.
