Local departments offer aid at Passaic fire

By now you know about the epic fire at a chemical plant last night in Passaic. Many local fire departments offered aid, including the Kearny Fire Department’s Marine unit, Lyndhurst FD Engine 1 and units from North Arlington and Belleville. The Lyndhurst FD posted some images to social media, including this one of Engine 1 staged on Route 21. (Update — Jan 15, 7:45 p.m.) — While the KFD’s Marine 3 did head to the scene on the Passaic River, it was ultimately and quickly turned back because of unfavorable conditions.)
