Several local scholars named to Lehigh Dean’s List
Numerous local students at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, attained Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester, including:
Areesha Ahmed and Bridget Hall, of Nutley; Casey Dolan and Lauren Dougherty, of Bloomfield; and Sofia Ruiz, of Belleville. Dean’s List status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.
Lyndhurst’s Kayla Friend on East Stroudsburg’s Dean’s List
A total of 1,222 students, including Kayla Friend, of Lyndhurst, a communication sciences & disorders major, have been named to the Dean’s List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the fall 2021 semester.
Students eligible for the Dean’s List are those who have attained a 3.5 quality-point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade “B” earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade “A” earns 4 quality points per credit.
Nutley’s Melanie Bumpus gets all As at U. of Alabama
Melanie Bumpus, of Nutley, was named to the University of Alabama’s Presidents List for fall semester 2021. A total of 11,979 students enrolled during the fall 2021 term at Alabama made the Dean’s List with academic records of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale), or the president’s list with academic records of 4.0 (all As).
Nutley’s Shane Sullivan on Emerson’s Dean’s List
Shane Sullivan, of Nutley, is among students named to Emerson College’s Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester. The requirement to make Dean’s List at the Boston school is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for a semester. Sullivan is majoring in media arts production and is a junior.
Nutley’s James Daidone on Missouri State’s Dean’s List
James Daidone, of Nutley, made the Dean’s List at Missouri State University and was among more than 5,000 students named to the fall 2021 list. For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the semester and at least a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
Belleville’s Cherylann Nicosia on Springfield College Dean’s List
Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts, has named Cherylann Nicosia, of Belleville, to the Dean’s List for the 2021 fall semester. Nicosia is a psychology major. The criteria for selection to the Dean’s List: students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of “P” grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.5 for the term.
Brandon Ramirez makes Castleton University Dean’s List
Brandon Ramirez, of Belleville, was recently named to the Castleton University, Vermont, Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2021. To qualify for this academic honor, students must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.
Numerous locals make U. of Delaware’s Dean’s List

To make the list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
Kearny’s Isabella Patino on Dean’s List at Connecticut College
Isabella Patino, a senior at Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut, has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2021 fall semester, achieving Dean’s High Honors. Patino is a mathematics major.
