HCPO: Military airman arrested, charged with sex crimes against his own daughter, 9

A U.S. military airman has been charged in connection with sex crimes involving his own daughter, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, members of the United States Marshals Service Arizona Violent Offender Task Force, in conjunction with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested a 30-year-old Jersey City man on sex crime charges involving his 9-year-old daughter.

At least one of the crimes occurred while the defendant was stationed in Dubai as a member of the U.S. Air Force and involved the transmission of explicit images and videos while his daughter was in Jersey City.

The name of the defendant is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

He is charged with aggravated sexual assault, a crime of the first degree, endangering the welfare of a child, a crime of the first degree, two counts of endangering the welfare of child, crimes of the second degree, sexual assault by contact, a crime of the second degree and attempted aggravated sexual assault, a crime of the second degree.

The victim was aged 8 and 9 at the time the crimes were alleged to have occurred.

The defendant remains in custody in Arizona, pending extradition to New Jersey.
