LPD: Man injured at Lyndhurst construction site

Earlier this morning, at approximately 10:15 a.m., a 56-year old man was struck in the head by the bucket of an excavator while working at a construction site in the 1500 block of Valley Brook Avenue.  The victim sustained severe head trauma; however, he was conscious and alert when he was transported by ambulance by the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson. Investigators from OSHA are on scene investigating the incident.
